2 THE COURT: We have a reporter. Was it Mr. Cohen

4 MR. COHEN: Yes, your Honor.
5 THE COURT: Can you just summarize? The record should
6 show that Judge Jones signed an order of attachment, and I
7 think a restraining notice. Was that it?
8 MR. COHEN: That's correct.
9 THE COURT: And on behalf of two of the bond
10 creditors, one of whom has a judgment and the other is in
11 litigation, and it would appear that a judgment is likely. And
12 I'm sorry to keep everybody repeating, but I think this ought
13 to go on the record.
14 Can you just briefly summarize, Mr. Cohen, what you
15 just said to me off the record.
16 MR. COHEN: I will, your Honor. Thank you.
17 I said that on December 15, the president of
18 Argentina, by executive decree, deemed approximately $9 billion
19 that had formerly been Central Bank assets available to pay off
20 the debt that Argentina owes to the IMF, International Monetary
21 Fund, thereby turning what had been Central Bank assets into
22 assets of Argentina to be used for commercial purpose -- that
23 is, to repay a debt -- and that some of those assets, we
24 believed, were in New York at either the Federal Reserve or at
25 various correspondent banks of the Central Bank. We believed
